Hello people of the Internet! Iam spending Easter with friends who are all Muslim and do not believe that the death or the resurrection of Christ happened so I have nobody to say “He is risen!” to. They supported me in my fast and are happy to celebrate with me and say Happy Easter, but the depth of faith is so different. Yesterday I walked the Stations of the Cross with our Lord and fasted in sorrow for him; tonight I waited near the tomb and then read over our history in the Easter Vigil Mass readings, and tomorrow morning I will join in the blessed celebration of the Easter Mass (and devour many Easter eggs), but for now I say to you: Christ is RISEN.
(Response: He is risen indeed!)
Alleluia and amen. How lucky are we to be Catholic?
